Exciting opportunity to join the second largest municipality in Melbourne’s metropolitan west. Located about 20 kms from the central business district, Brimbank City Council is culturally diverse.
We are currently seeking a Permanent Part Time staff member to join our team based at our offices in St Albans.
Reporting to the Festivals and Events Community Development Officer, we are seeking a Festivals and Events Support Officer who can bring their skills and experience for:
- Supporting and assisting in the safe delivery of community Festivals and Events
- Promotion of Festivals and Events
- Assisting in the delivery and evaluation of training programs to support community development
- Providing program administrative support as required
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
- Relevant qualifications and/or relevant experience in the delivery of festivals and events, and a working knowledge of associated requirements related to risk planning, COVID Safety and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of community cultural development and how it relates to event delivery.
- Well established interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to support a number of projects concurrently including flexibility with week and/or weekend work.
- A demonstrated understanding of local government practices and processes.
