Operations Officer


 Key duties of this role include:
  • Action emergency response procedures, including natural disaster contingency plans, wildfire response procedures and participate in multi-disciplinary incident management teams and other emergency responses
  • Lead field staff (including multi-agency support staff) engaged in fire and pest management activities in remote areas

  • Perform public contact duties, including responding to enquiries and providing advice on fire, pest weed and animal issues on State land to neighbouring stakeholders, other special interest groups and other agencies
  • Contribute information to a range of stakeholders on issues associated with cultural heritage and native title impacting on unallocated State land
  • Develop controlled burn and pest management plans and implements them on the ground
  • Contribute to projects associated with the maintenance of unallocated State land and provides associated reporting to the Senior Land Officer
  • Monitor compliance issues on State land and assists officers from other internal business units as required
  • Participate in and contribute to an effective team-working environment
  • You will be required to drive a motor vehicle as part of your duties
  • Other duties as directed and required.
