About the Company
We are a small family run business on the mid north coast of NSW looking for the right person to fill the role to help achieve the potential growth the business starting to go through.
The primary core of the business is multi drop deliveries between Sydney, Brisbane and Tamworth mainly consisting of Freezer, Chiller and Produce.
The Role
Will consist of a mixture of Allocating, Loading with some Driving when required. It requires a hands on person who is prepared to take responsibility to ensure all tasks are completed and drivers are informed as to any information they may need to complete their duties.
Work hours are flexible with a 5 day week with the occasional Sunday and also some
nights will be required.
DUTIES
- Taking phone calls from customers booking freight in
- Booking in freight at delivery point
- Compiling loads
- Filling out Con Notes
- Loading trucks
- Checking completed paperwork including work diary’s
- Dealing with driver issues
- Drive when required that may or may not need overnight stays
The person
- You need to have relative experience in the transport industry as a driver or allocator.
- Have a can do attitude and be flexible enough to make sure the job gets done in a safe and timely manner.
- A good phone manner and be able to get along with both customers and drivers.
- It will suit a person who likes the mixture of office work and being able to do some driving.
The right person will be reliable, level headed and self-motivated.
Requirements
- HC License
- Forklift License preferred
- BFM Accredited Allocator or willing to obtain
- CoR knowledge
