Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
-We are currently seeking an experienced Outbye Mechanical Coordinator to join our Grosvenor Mine, based in Moranbah.
Reporting to the Outbye Superintendent you will be responsible for the coordination of all Outbye Mechanical maintenance activities and resources to maintain mechanically safe and productive equipment in accordance with the annual mining plan. You will also be the focal point on shift for the implementation and leadership of continuous improvement projects in your area and to ensure compliance with safety systems and mechanical maintenance processes.
As the leader of the Outbye Mechanical team, you will lead and develop your teams to deliver the annual mine plan, achieving high output from the team with high morale. Working alongside the electrical and operations coordinators, you will develop short- and long-term plans and resource targets and continually review and adjust the pathways to deliver operational excellence.
- Qualifications
-Mechanical trade qualification or higher with a minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience at an underground coal mine. Experience within the Outbye environment will be highly regarded, as will experience in a similar role. - Hold current Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3 & G2) and will have demonstrated abilities leading a team and driving performance.
- Your well-developed understanding of maintenance requirements along with your demonstrated ability to problem solve and motivate a team to perform will be crucial to your success in the role.
